Jacinta Evans, Occupational Therapist and founder of My Life Skills OT

Dedicated to helping you achieve your goals

My Life Skills OT is a community‑based occupational therapy service supporting children, young people, and adults across homes, schools, kindergartens, and childcare settings. I meet people where they live, learn, and play — because that’s where real life happens.

My approach is all about building skills, confidence, and independence in the areas that matter most to each person. I focus on strengths, meaningful activities, and practical strategies, creating therapy that feels supportive, empowering, and genuinely fun. Rather than centring limitations or diagnoses, we celebrate what people can do and help them grow from there.

What is OT?

Occupational therapy helps people develop the skills they need for everyday life — the things they need to do, want to do, and love to do. Occupational Therapists work alongside individuals to build on their strengths, overcome challenges, and participate as independently as possible in their daily routines.

I look at:

  • the tasks you want to do,

  • the skills needed to do them, and

  • the environment you’re doing them in,

…then adapt, teach, modify, or problem‑solve to make those activities easier, more successful, and more enjoyable. My goal is always to support you in achieving what’s meaningful to you.
